It’s such a nice feeling to finally walk into an exotic pet and bird store and not leave heartbroken...... From the moment I first came here, I could tell this place was different. The birds are happy, active, and so well cared for — you can really see how much love and attention they get!!! The staff take the time to let them out, play with them, and make sure every single one is healthy and clean. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Even though I still haven’t found my perfect bird yet, my family and I come by at least once a week just to visit and spend time with them. The staff always greet us with a smile and genuinely seem happy to see us back. There’s never any pressure or rush to buy----- just kindness, patience, and a shared love for the animals. It’s rare to find a place that feels this welcoming. Every visit reminds me why I keep coming back. The store is spotless, the energy is calm and positive, and you can tell the birds are truly cared for like family. It’s amazing to finally see a place that puts the animals’ happiness first and it’s become one of our favorite stops every week. I know when the right bird comes it will only be from Todd's.

My family has been a costumer 30+ yrs. & bought our Yellow Naped Amazon in 1986. That parrot is happy & healthy today at age 38! Whether you're looking for a new feathered family member or just want to play w/ one of the many bird species perched throughout, there's always a warm, inviting vibe w/ staff ready & able to answer any questions. They really are a must for any bird related needs.

Homed 2 birds from here. Always attentive. Reasonable prices. We've left our birds there before on a quick trip and used our own cages. Clippings are fair priced as well. I would recommend them to anyone. We even drive from Philly.

Fantastic store in person AND fantastic store online. Our flock is in Ithaca NY. We have 2 re-homed parrots and 1 rescue… the Todd Marcus team has been amazing in ensuring we have the right (and best) parrot food for each of them. One of birds was re-homed through Todd Marcus. Through our adoption process we learned, and deeply appreciate, the ethical standards and love they have for parrots.

We have been visiting Todd Marcus Birds Exotic for almost 25 years now. Recently we have been boarding our birds with them so I shall review that experience- always great people to deal with. We have known some of the associates for a while so we are always treated as friends. Everyone is warm and welcoming. Calls and messages are responded to quite promptly. Our birds seem to be well taken care of and look happy. The store is clean and bright. Top class establishment!!! Keep it up. 👍🏼

Over 20 years ago my lady bought both of these beautiful birds from here.And like all things from NJ they have ended up in Las Vegas. They are still going strong and "Active" for seniors. Thank you again for the Birds.

I drove over 1200 miles round trip to visit this store and purchase my macaw from them. After months of research and almost being scammed by people i found this place by chance. And i am so glad i did. From calling them weeks prior to visiting to now almost 2 years later i still get family like treatment from everyone there. Which is why i will be coming back for more! If you ever go in person ask for Janice because she has been the most helpful person when it comes to anything bird related for me.

Todd Marcus is truly a magical place, from the moment you enter the store there is this feeling like none other. You’re greeted by friendly employees, usually there are other customers there with their birds shopping, the whole vibe is just so welcoming. They have every kind of bird toy and Product imaginable as well as custom blends of carefully curated bird foods, treats, bird supplies that you never wouldn’t realized that you needed as well! There’s an entire giant back section where you can interact with all of their birds. This is where we met our dream bird, whom we affectionately named Poppy. If it were not for the incredibly intuitive and perceptive employee, Janice, we would’ve never met and brought home our cape parrot. Janice has continued to be supportive to us in our bird owning journey, always offering advice and recommendations. I had an amazing experience at Todd Marcus Birds Exotic ! This place is a hidden gem for anyone who loves exotic birds. They have a wide variety of parrots and other exotic species.

The people are helpful and friendly. The birds are so adorable and some are very friendly. You can see how much they love the workers there. The items also don't seem extremely overpriced. They also have a rewards card which is great. I highly recommend

I did have a problem with a bird that I had purchased from Todd Marcus, she was a beautiful and sweet little bird, but it was a mis-match from the beginning because of her fear of hands and fingers. I tried working with her but finally had to surrender her for re-homing six months after her purchase. Even though it was so long after, Chris the owner was so understanding and asked me if I'd like to check out other birds while I was there. I was still apprehensive but he brought me over to this group of baby birds that ran over to us when we approached and I fell in love with one particular little male. Chris asked if I wanted to hold him which I did, and he let me use a room to get to know this little guy. The moral of this story is, Chris is an awesome guy, loves his birds and cares about their owners. He fixed things for me both emotionally and financially, he was extremely fair since I had brought her in so late after her purchase. If there were ten stars I would give them the ten!

Some of the nicest and caring people in the world work here and care for the amazing birds here. Very clean, well-stocked and organized. Everyone was very welcoming, helpful and a great source of knowledge. We had an incredible visit and have fallen in love with too many birds!!

Absolutely incredible experience every single time I go there. The birds there are so soo well taken care of and well socialized. The staff are amazing, always helping everyone however they can. They always answer any and all questions people may have. I 100% plan to get my next bird from them. They're definitely worth the price. My sister and I go there just to hang out with the birds and staff all the time! 😊

Todd Marcus Birds Exotic is excellent, you can take all the time you need to find the right bird. But this place is for BUYERS ONLY! It is not a place to let your snotty kid run around after you get done at the play place. This is NOT a petting zoo. So many parents just bring their kids in and don’t tell them no. They just run around scaring the customers birds, who are visiting their bird until they can take it home after hand feeding. It is very frustrating for the employees and customers. Have some self respect and teach your kid how to act in public.

I was so impressed by the cleanliness of the facility and the compassion of all the staff members. All of the birds looked well cared for and were very well socialized! Best place in NJ to purchase exotic birds that are friendly and social, I brought a sun conure home few days ago and he is the most loving bird I have ever met.Staff is friendly and the store is clean, also prices are fair.

I don't see many reviews for boarding here, so I just want to say that I was really pleased with how my two cockatiels were cared for. The staff were very friendly and sweet to my birds, and the cages were immaculate. I was worried the boarding room would be dark and lonely and quiet, which was not the case. It has plenty of noise and action in it, from staff to the many other birds being boarded, so there is at least some mental stimulation. The staff were even kind enough to move my cockatiels and all their toys to a better/brighter/higher-up cage while I was gone, which I really appreciated.

I purchased my Blue Headed Pionus at this store, 13 years ago, and my Gemma is still super healthy and happy! She even has a small vocabulary! Todd Marcus and his wife have since moved to a new and better store, and they still have a HUGE selection of birds to choose from. Knowledgeable and friendly staff never try to “sell” you anything. They only want what’s best for the bird, which means it has to be the right choice for you! I highly recommend Birds Exotic!

What's a good experience a lot of different birds and toys

December 2023 my husband purchased a beautiful blue amazon 8 months old for me, I fell in love immediately and am so grateful, I only knew what I read about parrots and the staff was so very knowledgeable and helpful with her diet and toys that would keep her happy, I spend every waking moment with my Bella. Thank you Dylan!!! My adult son and daughter call me the bird lady lol, now I want a young cockatoo as well, see ya soon. You guys are awesome!!! I own the happiest healthy blue amazon 💙

Highly recommend Todd, Marcus, my husband, and I went the other day to get medicine for our bird which we think had a stroke. The man at the counter was so friendly and so nice and instead of trying to sell us something! from his store, he told us that we just needed to give the bird some Pedialyte to see if that would help it did but sadly the next morning he passed away in my husbands hands😢 we thank him for his kind expertise we highly recommend this place for all kinds of bird toys medicine and crafts.

Zac the owners son couldn't have been nicer and he makes some of the bird toys that they sell in the store and also makes bird safe scented candles I will definitely be back

Hey haven’t had the chance to visit the store because of where I live but my grandma has been talking about wanting a bird as a friend since I was a child. Would love to hear your prices just so I can’t start to get a budget together. I know that petsmart is charging over $800 for a Conure, which I think is outrageous. As an animal lover, I would save a stray from the streets or adopt LONG BEFORE I PAY OVER $200 for a pet 😅

They are amazing they take care of my Hahns Mini Macaw, she still is a little baby so I haven’t been able to take her home with me but hopefully I can soon. I visited her twice already and they take care of them like it was their own bird. They treat them like little baby’s with all their love and the birds love them as well. I’m amazed on how many options they have for you, not just in bird but in toys and cages as well it’s amazing. 100% recommended and when ever I want a new baby bird I will definitely be coming to them.

Got my 6 month old rose-breasted cockatoo from Todd Marcus Birds Exotic. He is so sweet. Took him to the vet last week and they did blood work, everything came back normal. Happy and healthy bird.

I have been going to Todd Marcus for a few years now. The store is exceptionally clean and their birds are well taken care of, they get lots of out the cage time in a big play area and lots of toys and play stands for them to exercise on. The birds are super friendly and get lots of interaction with all the people who come to visit. The groomers are extremely knowledgeable and extremely good with handling the parrots they need to groom. Chris have been grooming my babies for the past 5 years or so and does an excellent job working with my conures. The staff is very friendly and welcoming as you enter and they are also very knowledgeable. I have always loved Todd Marcus and will continue to visit frequently. Thank you Chris we so appreciate you.

His dealings, guidance and knowledge were soooo impressive that made us to buy that pair right away. He is truly an excellent face for the store, and source of smile when we think about your store.

I cannot say enough about Todd Marcus and all of their wonderful staff— especially Chris, Dylan, Maria, Debbie, and Janice. I’ve purchased/adopted multiple birds from them. I’ve also boarded my babies and have them regularly groomed by Chris and Dylan. The staff are all kind, helpful, extremely knowledgeable, and go above and beyond. Side note: I had an absolutely horrid experience at the other local store, and will continue to be a loyal patron at Todd’s.

Todd Marcus is the place to go to to find anything for birds, and the staff is very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful as well, but the birds are the real reason to go and see what you may or may not want. Our boy Nicky was gotten there a mere 16 years ago. He is a Caique. He actually just had a birthday 🎂 last week. Happy sweet 16 Nicky.. I won't show him these pictures, I don't want him to get jealous. 😆

I was surprised by my kids this month with a first time visit to purchase a Cockatiel. Son had done a four State research , and found Todd's. Incredible vibe here, they even had young people just handling and adoring these well cared for tropicals. Dylan was a great resource, patient and gave info on female vs male, the species, special feed mix made at the shop; Todd your employee gets +5 stars 🤩. I live in DC. They'll ship anything on the website. You all are awesome and treat your customers great 👍💯
